A comprehensive course on developing optimization models for Virtual Power Plants using Python and Pyomo. Learn how to develop an optimization model in Python, using the package Pyomo, for a Virtual Power Plant (VPP), with the objective of maximizing its economic profit. The VPP can buy electricity from the wholesale electricity market, sell electricity to the wholesale electricity market, generate electricity using thermal and renewable units, and charge / discharge energy storage units. The goal is to satisfy the electricity demand at the least cost.
