Course Overview
A theoretical course on understanding the drivers and considerations for electricity grid reinforcement. This is a theoretical course (there is no coding). You will gain insights into the drivers i.e. what creates the need for reinforcing the electricity grid. By 'reinforcing' we mean the upgrade of the capacity of transmission lines, the deployment of smart grid technologies, the construction of new transmission lines etc. This includes the peak demand increase but also the deployment of sources of flexibility. This will be analyzed in detail. This is a course on grid reinforcement.
