This is an advanced research course specifically for PhD candidates or researchers (PhD).
Learn about smart grid technologies that can be deployed in electricity grids, namely "soft open point", and "smart chargers" for electric vehicles. Then, use stochastic optimization to find how the investment cost of these technologies affects how many of them are deployed in the electricity grid, under different scenarios for future electricity demand, which is uncertain due to the electrification of transport.
