Course Overview
A comprehensive course on the techno-economic analysis of energy generation systems with environmental impact assessment. The course teaches the techno-economics of heat-only units (which generate only heat), power stations (which generate only electricity), and CHP units (which generate both heat and electricity). You will develop an optimization model that performs Pareto analysis, which is an economic study that finds the relationship between the cost of generating energy (heat & electricity) and the CO2 emissions generated in the process. Implementation will be done in GAMS and Python/Pyomo.
