Course Overview

An introductory course on fundamental optimization concepts and their implementation using the Mosel language. The course teaches essential optimization concepts such as optimality, infeasibility, unboundedness of an optimization model, activity, duality, and slack value of a constraint. You will use the Mosel language to investigate these concepts. The Mosel language is widely used in academia and industry (energy, finance etc) and is an alternative to Python/Pyomo and GAMS for optimization.
