Heat-Electricity

Course Overview
A specialized course on technoeconomic modeling of integrated heat-electricity systems. The course teaches the technoeconomics of a heat-electricity system. This system includes 3 types of generating units: power stations (produce only electricity), combined heat and power units (produce electricity AND heat) and heat-only units (produce only heat). You will develop an optimization model for an economic dispatch study, which will determine the most economical units for meeting the heat demand and the electricity demand. The implementation will be done in Python and GAMS.
